چکیده
Twisted bilayer graphene (TBG) near ``magic angles'' has emerged as a rich platform for strongly correlated states of two-dimensional (2D) Dirac semimetals. Here we show that twisted bilayers thin film magnetic topological insulators (MTIs) with large in-plane magnetization can realize flat bands 2D nodes. Using simple model films MTIs, derive continuum two such by small angle respect to each other. When the is in plane, interlayer tunneling terms act effective SU(2) vector potentials, which are known lead TBG. We changing magnetization, it possible tune MTI band dispersion quadratic touching or bands, similar If realized, this system be highly tunable phases

Process Optimization of Deposition Conditions for Low Temperature Thin Film Insulators used in Thin Film Transistors Displays
Deposition process for thin insulator used in polysilicon gate dielectric of thin film transistors are optimized. Silane and N2O plasma are used to form SiO2 layers at temperatures below 150 ºC. The deposition conditions as well as system operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, gas flow ratios, total flow rate and plasma power are also studied and their effects are discussed. The p...
متن کاملThin topological insulator film in a perpendicular magnetic field
We report on a study of an ultrathin topological insulator film with hybridization between the top and bottom surfaces, placed in a quantizing perpendicular magnetic field. We calculate the full Landau-level spectrum of the film as a function of the applied magnetic field and the magnitude of the hybridization matrix element, taking into account both the orbital and the Zeeman spin splitting ef...
متن کاملQuantum Hall states stabilized in semi-magnetic bilayers of topological insulators.
By breaking the time-reversal symmetry in three-dimensional topological insulators with the introduction of spontaneous magnetization or application of magnetic field, the surface states become gapped, leading to quantum anomalous Hall effect or quantum Hall effect, when the chemical potential locates inside the gap. Further breaking of inversion symmetry is possible by employing magnetic topol...
متن کاملNonlinear optical observation of coherent acoustic Dirac plasmons in thin-film topological insulators
Low-energy collective electronic excitations exhibiting sound-like linear dispersion have been intensively studied both experimentally and theoretically for a long time. However, coherent acoustic plasmon modes appearing in time-domain measurements are rarely observed due to Landau damping by the single-particle continua. Here we report on the observation of coherent acoustic Dirac plasmon (CAD...
متن کاملAtomic-Scale Magnetism of Cr-Doped Bi2Se3 Thin Film Topological Insulators.
Magnetic doping is the most common method for breaking time-reversal-symmetry surface states of topological insulators (TIs) to realize novel physical phenomena and to create beneficial technological applications. Here we present a study of the magnetic coupling of a prototype magnetic TI, that is, Cr-doped Bi2Se3, in its ultrathin limit which is expected to give rise to quantum anomalous Hall ...
